This time, he’s exploring a gadget that appears prefer it may have come from the pages of a Cyberpunk RPG guide - a shiny chrome Bluetooth Low Power (BLE) smart ring that’s packed with sensors, is moderately hacker pleasant, and is at present promoting for as little as $20. The ring’s structure is easy - the surface is polished anodized metallic, with the electronics and battery carefully laid out alongside the inside floor, complete with a magnetic charging port. It has a BLE-enabled MCU, a heartrate sensor, and an accelerometer. It’s not a lot, but you are able to do a lot with it, from the standard train and sleep monitoring, to a tap-sensitive interface for something you need to manage from the palm of your hand. In the video’s feedback, somebody noted how a customized firmware for the ring could be used to detect seizures; a perfect instance of how hacking such gadgets can deliver someone a brighter future.
